From serving jerk plates at London’s first Halal Latin-Carribean restaurant in London to now creating a whole dynamic of flavour through suya - we make our own yaji spice in-house (yaji is a peanut based powder that we rub our meats in). Apart from this, we dash a bit of special suya recipe that is unique to our restaurant.

We make sure that every cut of meat is worth every bite!

From our secret suya spice to a good cut of meat is the key to our Suya Plates at Moi Moi. Using our state-of-the-art grill that you can find in-store, we use two types of meat: chicken and beef. We love a good chicken - but did you know that we are one of the only places in London that offers tozo meat in our suya offerings? Our chefs ensures that we make the best tozo suya by grilling it on a low and slow basis, making every bite worth your trip in Camden!

We make every plate jam-packed with flavours!

Apart from the spice and the carefully selected meats, we ensure that every suya comes in a great plate packed with good sides. Like every Nigerian food, we want you to experience a plate full of nutrients that you wouldn’t have to buy a return ticket to Nigeria to experience a legitimate African food. Our plate comes with salad, plantain, agoyin sauce, naija pepper sauce and jollof rice - making it worth every penny!

Which suya plate are you going to opt for - Beef or Chicken? Available on Uber Eats and Deliveroo

Camden Town has come a long way in its diversity for food from the bustling food joints at The Stables all the way to local takeaway units have emerged. It is only a matter of time that our neighbourhood and communities in North London get a chance to try out West African food.

Suya is a very popular and synonymous spice item that originated in West Africa, particularly popular in the streets of Nigeria that is typically used on meats. Traditionally, suya is paired with beef such as sirloin and served on its own.

In the kitchens of Moi Moi Island, we rub a wet suya marinade over our meats that we then slow cooked the meat over coals. We also wanted to provide these alongside alternative protein items such as chicken. We've all heard about suya beef but have you had a suya chicken? If you crave a big munch, experience our spice level three in a plate filled with jollof rice, lettuce, tomato, onion, ewa agoyin sauce, red peppa sauce, and plantain.

Wanting a less spicy plate? Cutting down on your carb intake? When it comes to the best suya chicken caesar, we’ve pretty much got you covered. Our salad also comes in with parmesan, croutons, lettuce, and Caesar dressing. Spice level 1.

These plates are just a snippet of our amazing full range - if you fancy any more West African and Caribbean food, check out our menu and if you’d like to get your hands on these straight to your home on delivery.
